Lihue, HI › Medical Assistant - Neurology Medical Assistant - Neurology Lihue, HI Kaua'i Medical Clinic is the island's largest clinic and only multispecialty medical group. More than 85 physicians and midlevel providers offer primary and specialty care at clinic locations in Eleele, Kapaa, Koloa and Lihue. Kaua'i Medical Clinic Neurology department provides a broad spectrum of care for the adult population (18 years and older). Conditions such as headache/migraine, stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's, dementia/Alzheimer's, etc. are evaluated and monitored. The department also provides diagnostic evaluation via lumbar puncture, emg, etc. as well as therapies like epidural, botox, and nerve block, etc. This clinic starts in the early morning and has been a hit with the population it serves. As a Medical Assistant in our Neurology department, you will form part of the dedicated team of physicians and medical staff that provide caring, thorough health services to our patients and their families. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of patient care activities to clients of all ages. We are looking for someone detail-oriented and attentive, with strong communications and patient care skills and a commitment to delivering the highest quality health care to Hawai'i's people.

Medical Support Staff Minimum Qualifications:
High school or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant Program and/or equivalent experience. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card. Must be able to complete departmental competency assessment by conclusion of orientation period.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year back office medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic, physician's office, or related experience.
