•7:45AM-12:30PM Tuesday 10:45-5:00PM Wednesday 6:45AM-6:00PM Thursday
•6:45AM-5PM We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) to join our Sports Medicine team and play an important role in supporting patients throughout their care. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside providers in a specialty focused on helping patients recover from injuries, return to activity, and achieve their health and performance goals. Responsibilities Assist physicians during patient exams and procedures Room patients, record patient histories, vital signs, and document in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer medications, immunizations, and treatments per scope of licensure Educate patients on health, medications, and follow-up care Coordinate referrals and patient care follow-ups Ensure a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment Qualifications Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants (Certificate, diploma, or Associate's Degree) required. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant through one of the following required: National Healthcare Association American Association of Medical Assistants National Center for Competency Testing National Certified Medical Assistant National Association of Health Professionals American Registry of Medical Assistants American Allied Health American Medical Technologists if EMT, must have Iowa and National valid/current EMT license to practice in Iowa Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred Familiarity with EPIC a plus! For positions within UnityPoint Clinic, team members may be required to work at or to float to other locations to support optimized staffing
