Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support in a clinical setting, ensuring that patients receive high-quality care. This role involves both administrative and clinical responsibilities, making it crucial for the smooth operation of our medical facility. Candidates with experience in dermatology, knowledge of medical terminology, and familiarity with clinic systems will be highly regarded. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures. Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and preparing patients for examination. Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health records (EHR) within clinic systems. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures within the clinic. Educate patients on treatment plans and provide instructions for follow-up care. Assist with X-Ray procedures as needed, ensuring proper patient positioning and safety. Demonstrate knowledge of physiology to effectively communicate with patients about their health concerns. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Strong understanding of medical terminology and clinic operations. Knowledge of dermatology practices is a plus. Familiarity with Level I Trauma Center protocols is advantageous. Excellent patient service skills, demonstrating empathy and professionalism. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while managing multiple tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain accurate records. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
