Responsibilities Assist with patient intake, vital signs measurement, and medical history documentation using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Prepare examination rooms with appropriate medical equipment operation and ensure cleanliness following infection control protocols. Support providers during procedures, including manual handling of patients and operation of medical equipment in an outpatient clinic. Monitor patient safety by observing vital signs, responding to emergencies with Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR when necessary, and ensuring adherence to care facility infection control standards. Facilitate patient transfer methods safely within the clinic. Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare teams to promote understanding of treatment plans and post care instructions. Maintain accurate medical documentation, ensure confidentiality of patient information, and support compliance with healthcare regulations. Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; current BLS/CPR certification required. Proven experience in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or Level I/II trauma centers with acute care exposure preferred. Hands-on experience working with geriatric patients, in medical-surgical units, or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR) management, and medical equipment operation essential for success. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely while maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality. Strong communication skills for effective caregiver interaction and team collaboration in an outpatient setting.
