Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Office Manager and Medical Assistant, where you will be the vital link ensuring smooth clinic operations and exceptional patient care. This role combines leadership in medical office management with hands-on clinical support, fostering a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. You will oversee daily administrative functions, manage healthcare staff, and ensure compliance with health regulations, all while maintaining high standards of service and efficiency. Your expertise will drive the success of our practice, ensuring optimal patient experiences and operational excellence. Responsibilities Lead and supervise healthcare staff, including medical assistants, administrative personnel, and clinical teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment Oversee clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow management, and ensuring adherence to healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and JCAHO standards Manage financial aspects of the practice, including ordering and taking patient payments. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with health information privacy laws; utilize patient management software Athena. Coordinate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care delivery, including acute care and managed care services; support utilization management processes Handle human resources functions such as training, performance evaluations, and staff development to foster a motivated team. Ensure clinic compliance with federal, state, and local health policies; implement best practices in medical administrative support and office management Skills Extensive medical office experience with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems like Epic, or Athena. Strong supervisory skills with proven ability to manage healthcare teams effectively in fast-paced environments Expertise in fiscal management including budgeting, financial reporting, and medical billing procedures Knowledge of healthcare management practices including HIPAA compliance, health regulation policies, and managed care protocols Excellent managerial communication skills to coordinate between clinical staff, patients, vendors, and external agencies Familiarity with medical office experience or clinic-specific workflows is a plus; experience in hospital or acute care settings highly valued Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, reporting and communication purposes Understanding of medical terminology and medical records management to ensure accuracy and compliance Embark on a rewarding career where your leadership transforms healthcare delivery!
