Job Description
Requirements Job Overview Join our sports medicine team as a Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting clinical operations. This position offers the opportunity to work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinic workflows, accurate medical documentation, and compassionate patient interactions. Duties Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety. Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies. Take vital signs, record medical histories, and document patient information accurately in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Apply casts and splints and perform x-rays under the direction of healthcare providers. Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care based on urgency and symptoms. Administer first aid, CPR, and basic life support when necessary, responding swiftly to emergency situations. Educate patients on injury prevention and treatment plans while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage medical records and documentation diligently, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards. Requirements Experience with EMR/EHR management systems and medical software applications. Certification in first aid, CPR, and basic life support (BLS). Knowledge of health regulation policies, HIPAA compliance, and medical documentation standards. Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, nursing principles, and medical terminology. Experience in orthopedics and sports medicine environments is highly desirable. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
