IS PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION. CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT OR MEDICAL ASSITING EXPERIENCE PREFERRED, BUT NOT REQUIRED.
Job description: The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting providers with a variety of tasks including: maintaining patients records, charting, preparing patients for examinations and/or procedures, scheduling follow up appointments, and inventory, among other things. The Medical Assistant consults with patients on a variety of topics while providing education about skin care and skin procedures. Job Duties Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean. Escorts patients to exam rooms and interviews patients Takes patient histories and vital signs Assists provider with examinations, procedures, treatments, and interventions. Gives instructions to patients as instructed by the physician Ensures all related reports, labs and information is electronically uploaded into patients' medical records prior to their appointment Keeps exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintains instruments, and prepares sterilization as required Maintains inventory for the lab and exam rooms; notifies practice manager of supply needs for lab, exam rooms, and cosmetic procedure Triage and processes messages from patients and front office staff to physician Reports significant changes in patient condition or other pertinent patient information to the Physician. Following provider instructions, demonstrates accurate, timely, and efficient follow through with pharmacy refills, scheduling out of clinic procedures, obtaining, and reporting and tracking of lab results. Actively participates in quality improvement initiatives

Full-time Wage:
From $17.00 per hour. Potential for higher starting wage with medical assiting experience and/or certification.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday; daytime hours
