Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Medical Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. As a key member of our healthcare team, you'll assist with patient intake, clinical procedures, and medical documentation, ensuring a seamless experience for both patients and providers. Your proactive approach and compassionate attitude will make a meaningful difference in patient outcomes while advancing your career in medical assisting. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates to support accurate patient assessments. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic life support when needed. Manage medical records meticulously by updating documentation, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Support medical office operations by scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks such as insurance verification and data entry. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols for infection control and emergency response procedures. Experience Prior experience in medical office settings with exposure to outpatient clinics or hospital environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding to accurately document patient interactions. Hands-on experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) or Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for efficient data management. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required; additional certifications such as phlebotomy is beneficial. Strong patient service skills combined with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment
