We are committed to delivering exceptional patient care through skilled medical support and a collaborative team approach. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude to support patient care and administrative functions. This full-time position requires flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays at our Naperville and Downers Grove locations. Duties Perform clinical tasks such as drawing blood, administering injections, checking vital signs, and collecting specimens for lab testing. Assist with patient check-in and check-out, ensuring accurate documentation of medical history and current complaints. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems, including data entry, updating patient information, and maintaining medical records with precision. Support physicians with procedures in dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, hospital medicine, or emergency medicine settings. Prepare examination rooms by sanitizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for patient visits. Provide patient service by answering questions, relaying instructions clearly, and offering compassionate support throughout the visit. Assist with administrative tasks such as faxing referrals, managing appointment scheduling, and disposing of biohazardous waste according to OSHA standards. Qualifications Prior experience in a medical office setting with proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as eClinicalWorks or similar platforms. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, pharmacology, and medication administration. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in phlebotomy or emergency medicine are advantageous. Experience working in dermatology, urgent care, hospital medicine, or inpatient environments is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in medical documentation and records management. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations; bilingual abilities such as Spanish are a plus. Ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining professionalism in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
