Job Description
We are looking to add another awesome team member to our busy, holistic, outpatient pediatric office in Geneva and Elgin as Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for prepping charts, rooming patients for providers, obtaining vital signs, preventative hearing/vision screening, point of care testing and vaccine administration. We are looking for a service oriented individual with exceptional work ethic, communication and organizational skills. A team player who displays outstanding professionalism and a positive attitude. Responsibilities Interview patients and document basic medical history Organize and schedule appointments Obtain patient vital signs Perform routine vision and hearing screens Perform point of care testing Arrange laboratory services Assist with triage phone calls Complete school/sports physical forms Complete return to school/daycare notes Prepare and clear exam rooms and keep office tidy Assist in maintaining a professional and clean work environment Triage phone calls Skills Prior work experience as a Medical Assistant Prior experience in Pediatrics Child friendly personality Excellent written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritze work Positive, professional attitude and team player Proficiency in eClinicalWorks electronic medical records Degree in medical assistance
