Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care. Pay range will be evaluated based on experience. Responsibilities Assist providers with administering injections and other clinical procedures, including fitting braces. (Training provided) Will be trained to use ultrasound machine to assist with injections. Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, medical histories, confirming medications, and documenting information accurately. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms and medical equipment. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly. Responsible for prepping patient charts daily. Will be required to count patient medication / ITP check (Training provided) Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards. Qualifications Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar healthcare role is preferred. Knowledge of medications, and medical-surgical procedures is advantageous. Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge to assist in patient assessments effectively. Excellent communication skills with a focus on providing outstanding patient care. Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus. Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to healthcare regulations. Travel to our Alton location is required when needed for coverage. Hours are 7am-5pm Monday through Thursday.
