Job Description
Exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated Medical Assistant. We are seeking a warm, compassionate medical assistant to join a busy, growing, multi-office independent pediatric practice that values its team members. Are you available to work some evenings, and two weekend mornings per month on rotation? We have an immediate opening for an experienced Pediatric Medical Assistant with at least three years' experience who is able to provide outstanding patient care and service in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be a friendly team player who is reliable, motivated and self-driven to aid in patient care. Candidate must be experienced and able to do administrative tasks associated with a CLIA Waived lab. Some weekend (usually two per month), including Saturday and Sunday mornings, and weekday evening hours (we are open until 6pm) are required - these are on rotation. This position will require that you will work at both our Buffalo Grove and Northbrook offices, based on schedule. Responsibilities and Duties Welcome patients in a friendly and outgoing manner Room patients Take patient vitals Draw blood and give immunizations Assist in clinical workflow of the office Provide support related to referrals, laboratory work, diagnostic testing and patient education Responsible for additional general administrative and clerical support as assigned. Qualifications and Skills At least one year prior experience in a pediatric practice Excellent customer service skills Professional personal presentation Must be experienced in phlebotomy, pediatric preferred This position will require that you work some evenings, and some Saturday and Sunday mornings on rotation. Sundays mornings are usually less than three hours, and are paid at double time. Experience in a clinic setting required. EMR experience required - athena preferred. Computer literacy a must!
