Chicago Center for Women's Health (CCWH) is a dynamic, growing specialty practice dedicated to providing exceptional, compassionate care to women. Our team includes a Urogynecologist Physician and Advanced Nurse Practitioner , working together to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care. As a Medical Assistant, you will play an important role in the patient experience and work closely with our providers in a specialty setting. We are looking for a motivated, dependable, positive, and compassionate Medical Assistant who enjoys working with patients and thrives in a team environment. What You'll Do The Medical Assistant will provide primarily clinical support, including: Welcome and room patients while providing a professional and compassionate experience. Obtain and document vital signs, medical histories, and other patient information. Accurately document patient information and clinical notes in the EMR/EHR. Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing, including urinalysis, pregnancy testing, and other applicable point-of-care testing. Collect, label, process, and prepare laboratory specimens for shipment to the appropriate laboratory. Assist physicians and advanced practice providers with examinations and procedures by preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies. Assist with surgical and in-office procedures as directed by the provider. Maintain exam rooms, ensuring they are clean, organized, stocked, and ready for patients. Clean and disinfect instruments and prepare them for sterilization according to office protocols. Monitor and maintain clinical supplies and assist with stocking throughout the office. Accurately document incoming and outgoing patient phone calls and messages. Perform appropriate aspects of patient interviewing, history taking, physical assessment, and charting. Support quality measures and clinical initiatives required for patient care. Provide compassionate, respectful, and professional care to every patient. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will have: Current Certified or Registered Medical Assistant credentials preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills (required) . Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient care. Ability to work independently while also being an effective team member. Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail. Ability to use a computer and accurately enter and retrieve patient information. Experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred. Knowledge of medical office procedures and common office equipment. Ability to use good judgment and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced clinical environment. Phlebotomy experience/skills preferred. Dependability, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
