At Oak Park Pediatrics, our Medical Assistants are with families at every step of the visit — from the exam room to the follow-up call. We are seeking a Medical Assistant who brings hands-on clinical skill, warmth, and steady attention to detail to a busy pediatric practice where every visit matters. As a Medical Assistant, you support physicians and clinical staff so that every visit is safe, efficient, and reassuring for patients and their families. You prepare patients, document care accurately, and help keep the clinical side of the practice running smoothly, all while bringing a calm and compassionate presence to pediatric patients and their parents. What You'll Be Doing You prepare patients and support every visit

• Prepare patients for clinical visits, including rooming, vital signs, and basic clinical intake
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures as appropriate
• Maintain consistent patient flow and visit readiness throughout clinic hours
• Provide age-appropriate support and reassurance to pediatric patients and families
• Maintain clean, organized, and stocked exam rooms and clinical areas You keep clinical documentation accurate and complete
• Support management of MyChart messages related to patient care and notifications
• Document clinical information accurately and on time in the EHR
• Ensure patient charts, forms, and records are complete and up to date
• Follow clinical documentation standards and practice protocols
• Support accurate handling of lab orders, test results, and referrals as directed You handle medications, supplies, and equipment with care
• Prepare and administer medications or immunizations as permitted by your training, certification, and supervision
• Monitor and restock medical supplies and equipment
• Follow infection control, safety, and handling procedures at all times
• Report equipment issues or supply needs promptly You protect privacy and follow safety procedures
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA, infection control, and workplace safety requirements
• Follow clinical protocols, office policies, and pediatric care standards
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Report compliance, safety, or privacy concerns promptly You collaborate with the team to support patient care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, clinical staff, and front office team members
• Communicate patient needs, concerns, or changes effectively to the care team
• Support patient flow and clinic efficiency throughout the day
• Pitch in wherever needed to support practice operations and patient care What You Bring You're someone who:

• Treats patient privacy and safety protocols as non-negotiable, every time Experience that helps
• High school diploma or equivalent, required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or equivalent experience, required
• Certification or eligibility for certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent), required
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, required
• Experience in a pediatric or family practice setting, a plus
• Familiarity with pediatric immunization schedules and workflows, a plus
• Experience supporting insurance, referrals, or prior authorization processes, a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, a plus
