Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Certified Pathologist Assistant is responsible for preparation, gross description, and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens under the direction and supervision of a licensed, boar certified pathologist. They will ensure the provision of high•quality services in accordance with the Medical Center and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's degree in science (Biology, Chemistry) Completion of NAACLS accredited
Pathologist Assistant Program Licensure/ Certification:
ASCP Certification (PA•Pathologist Assistant) or must obtain within 1 year of hire
Other Skills/ Knowledge:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
