Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bilingual Medical (Spanish Speaking) Assistant to join our Orthopaedics Team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. This position involves assisting healthcare professionals in a clinic atmosphere. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care while maintaining a smooth workflow within the clinic. This job will require you to travel between our offices in Oakbrook Terrace, Schaumburg, Bartlett and Elgin at times. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures Perform basic patient care tasks, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for examinations Perform intake on the patients and documenting patient information accurately in the EMR system Order x-rays Draw up injections Removal of sutures and staples Handle basic wound care/dressing changes Triaging/answering messages for the providers Making post op calls Dispense DME bracing Completion of disability paperwork Knowledge of policies and procedures Sterilization of instrumentation Support the healthcare team in managing patient flow Provide patient education as directed by the providers Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies Ordering inventory Applying and removing casts Listen and empathize with the patients Build relationships with the patients so that they remember a positive experience at our facility Requirements Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting Experience in Orthopedics is a plus Medical terminology is a plus Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and medical staff Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Basic understand of anatomy and physiology, particularly related to the musculoskeletal system Drawing blood samples Join our team of dedicated professionals committed to providing exceptional patient care!
