Bilingual Medical Assistant Elgin & Westchester, Illinois Midwest Allergy Inc. is currently seeking a Bilingual (Spanish) Medical Assistant to join our growing Allergy, Asthma, and Clinical Immunology practice. In addition to providing specialty allergy and immunology care, our physician actively conducts clinical research studies , offering employees the opportunity to gain exposure to research protocols and procedures. We will also consider qualified candidates with Phlebotomy Certification , including: Patient Care Technician (PCT) Phlebotomy Technician Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Selected candidates must be willing to be cross-trained in all aspects of the Medical Assistant role and must be available to work the established clinic schedule including ALL Saturdays (which are mandatory ) About the Position We are looking for a highly reliable, dependable, honest, outgoing, and professional individual who is committed to providing exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, takes initiative, works well as part of a team, and consistently demonstrates punctuality, accountability, and professionalism. Requirements Bilingual in Spanish (Required) Current Phlebotomy Certification (Required) Previous medical office experience preferred Excellent attendance and dependability Must reside within 10-15 miles or approximately 15-20 minutes of clinic location Reliable transportation Strong computer skills Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Job Responsibilities Provide patient care under the supervision of the physician Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR) Administer allergy immunotherapy and biologic injections Perform venipuncture (blood draws), allergy testing, and other laboratory procedures Process prescription refill requests as directed Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment Perform front office responsibilities, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, collecting patient payments, and other administrative duties. Assist with clinical research studies, including research-related patient visits, specimen collection, accurate documentation, and study procedures as assigned. Perform additional clinical and administrative duties as assigned.
