Allen County Cardiology is looking for a Medical Assistant to work in our Angola practice. Candidate must be detail-oriented, with exceptional communication and customer service skills. In addition, the candidate must have the ability to take initiative and work independently when necessary, able to multi-task, have the ability to work with a variety of patients and healthcare professionals. Must have High school diploma, completion of a Medical Assisting program, some college preferred. Some traveling to other office locations will be required.

Job duties include the following:

Verifying patient information and confirming purpose of the visit Recording past, family, social, and medical history Performing vitals Performing (EKGs) Explaining medical procedures to patients Assisting physicians Performing diagnostic and laboratory tests Ensure all related reports, labs and information is filed and available in patients' medical records prior to their appointment Keep exam rooms stocked and cleaned with adequate medical supplies Taking telephone calls and answering questions from patients, physicians, and pharmacies All other duties assigned by office manager
