Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Shift:

FT Day Shift FT Night Shift Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary equipment and ensuring a sterile environment. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, accurately documenting all findings in patient records. Perform basic laboratory tests and assist with X-ray procedures as needed. Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and coding for insurance purposes. Maintain knowledge of hospital medicine practices and protocols, particularly in a Level II trauma center setting. Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures and provide reassurance during their visit. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Uphold strict confidentiality standards regarding patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Experience Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program is required. Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or similar environments, is preferred but not mandatory. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and coding practices is essential for success in this role. Proficiency in performing clinical tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with diagnostic tests is highly desirable.
