Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. You will play a key role in managing patient interactions, maintaining accurate medical records, and promoting and growing Sacred Heart Family Medicine. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, educate potential patients about direct primary care and facilitate smooth patient intake processes Schedule appointments efficiently using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and coordinate follow-up visits Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories Support clinical procedures including phlebotomy and medication administration Maintain accurate medical documentation, manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), and ensure compliance with medical records regulations Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, managing patient inquiries, processing prior authorizations, and updating medical records Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols in outpatient settings Experience Prior experience preferred in a medical office setting with familiarity in medical administrative support and patient service roles Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and pharmacology principles Experience with EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management and documentation accuracy Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or phlebotomy are advantageous Demonstrated ability to handle diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatrics This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills across clinical procedures and administrative functions within a supportive healthcare environment.
