Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Receptionist or Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative and clinical tasks. Experience is preferred. Our EMR is Next Gen and we use EScribe for prescriptions. We are looking for an employee to work from December 2026 through March 2027, with opportunity to work long term. Duties Greet patients warmly and manage patient check-in and check-out processes with professionalism and efficiency Schedule appointments using medical office management software. Verify insurance information and process medical collections in compliance with HIPAA regulations Review and update patient records if needed Assist with clinical tasks including documentation review, care plan coordination, and basic medical assistance when needed Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette, providing clear communication and appointment confirmations Help with filing documents and charts securely, ensuring confidentiality Requirements Proven experience in a medical office setting or clinic environment with strong clerical and administrative support skills Ability to perform accurate scheduling Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and professional phone communication abilities Understanding of medical terminology, health information management practices, and clinical confidentiality policies Demonstrates ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Clinic or hospital experience is preferred
Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 20.0 - 30.0 per week
