Equity Dermatology, PLLC Scheduled hours/week:
Full Time Medical Assistant Duties:
Takes Medical Histories Prior Authorizations, Medication Management Opens office visit notes and scribes the documentation for the provider Explains treatment plans and obtains patient consent for procedures Prepares patients for examination Assists provider during examination Keeps waiting and exam rooms neat and clean Stocks exam rooms with necessary supplies Other duties as assigned
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently Ability to exercise judgment and make decisions Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, clients, coworkers, and management staff Ability to perform in a high productivity, fast-paced environment Ability to document accurately and concisely Excellent phone and computer skills Ability to maintain sensitive information in confidence Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize diverse responsibilities HIPAA knowledge OSHA knowledge
Position Requirements:
High School or equivalent Dermatology or related experience
Degree of Supervision:
Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Must be a self starter, and go getter.
