Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide hands-on support in outpatient and inpatient settings, assisting physicians and healthcare providers with clinical procedures, patient interactions, and medical documentation. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth operations while delivering exceptional patient service. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across diverse medical specialties, including dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and hospital medicine. Responsibilities Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and patient intake information accurately in electronic health records (EHR) systems Perform phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and injections as needed. Manage medical documentation. Support medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining supply inventories Send referrals to specialists or specific orders to outside providers. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical office role with familiarity in outpatient, inpatient, or hospital settings Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools Certifications such as phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced settings while maintaining accuracy in documentation and clinical procedures Join us to make a difference in patients' lives through dedicated care and support! Pay:
$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
