Job Description

Overview Our office is seeking a versatile individual who can perform duties as a Front Desk Receptionist and Medical Assistant. This position will be first point of contact for walk in patients needing injections, prescription refills and clinical questions as well as assisting our front desk receptionist in answering phone calls. Flexibility is a must in this position. Duties Greet patients warmly upon arrival, verify appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems. Collect and document patient information, including vital signs, medical history, and medication lists, ensuring accuracy for medical records. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and performing basic phlebotomy procedures. Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, confirm patient visits, and handle patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Assist with medication administration support under supervision, including handling prescriptions and explaining medication instructions to patients. Perform clerical duties such as data entry, filing medical documentation, updating electronic health records (EHR/EMR), and managing inventory of supplies. Qualifications Proven experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation practices. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Familiarity with family medicine or outpatient clinics is highly desirable. Knowledge of ICD coding, medication administration protocols, phlebotomy techniques, and inpatient/outpatient care workflows. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism. Pay:
$18.00 - $21.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 per week
