Duties Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical areas are clean and organized for patient visits. Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates. Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, including phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and X-ray assistance. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information, medical history, and treatment plans. Support patient intake by collecting medical histories, updating records, and answering questions about procedures or medications. Perform basic laboratory tasks such as specimen collection and processing for diagnostic testing. Handle administrative duties like scheduling appointments, managing medical records, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and verifying insurance information. Ensure compliance with safety protocols including Basic Life Support (BLS) standards and infection control procedures. Cross train to cover front desk as needed Experience Proven experience as a Medical Assistant with a minimum of 1 year of experience. Familiarity with pediatric environments is highly desirable. Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is essential. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards. Prior experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, injections, vaccines, procedures, and vital signs collection is preferred. Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient care Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as CPR or phlebotomy certification are a plus. $15.50 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
