We provide a variety of services from basic routine skin checks to laser services and botox, we also have an in-house board certified MOHS surgeon who provides medical skin cancer removals. We are a passionate team who are here to serve every patient and provide outstanding services that make our patients feel confident and ensure they are protecting and treating their skin—after all, we only get one. We provide personalized dermatologic services, which consist of both preventative treatments and actionable care.Job Purpose:
Helping patients find real answers in a stress-free, supportive environment. Help facilitate physician-curated care plan treatments and care. We seek to help our patients with any skin diseases, concerns, goals and needs they might have. Assists physicians in facilitating patient services, documentation of services and the education of patient care plans. Assists physicians in the performance of surgical procedures and biopsies such as Excisions, ED&C, Incisions, MOHS, etc. Ensures that the patient understands the treatment plan, understands the proper use of their medications, and understands their responsibility for compliance with the treatment plan prior to leaving the office. Performs other duties and tasks as needed.Skills/Qualifications:
Highschool diploma Current and active Medical Assistant (MA) Certification (preferred) Two to five years of real-world experience in a medical office working as a medical assistant. Must have a sincere desire to help people Goal-Orientated Detailed A coachable attitude is far more important to us than having any previous experience. We will spend time training skills, we will not spend time training attitude. Have great attitude and a desire to learnJob Duties:
Provide high-quality, compassionate patient service and care Excellent communication skills. Good understanding of skin anatomy. Good problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work as a team member. Well-organized with attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Empathetic with patient needs and concerns. Ability to work well with providers, anticipating their needs regarding patient treatment. Knowledgeable in the products we sell. Assess and record patient vitals Update and manage clinic medical records Update and manage patient medical records Full electronic health record (EHR) management Updating medication lists Updating treatment plans as per physician changes and recommendations. Listen and evaluate patients on how to best help them Maintain a clean and sterile space both in treatment/therapy rooms and general office. Performs nursing procedures such as suture removal, dressing changes, wart treatments, without direct physician supervision. Facilitating patient services, modalities and therapies in-office. Thoroughly and accurately fills out all required documents and updates documentation. Work Location & Hours Our main location is in Slidell, though we have 4 total locations: Madisonville, Hammond and Picayune, MS The ability to travel between our locations as needed is a plus. Our offices operated Monday- Thursday 8 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m. and Fridays from 8 a.m.
- noon.
Northshore Dermatology Medical Department Pay:
$16.00- $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 32.0
