Job Description

Equity Staffing Group is seeking an experienced Pathologists' Assistant (ASCP) to join a leading Anatomical Pathology Laboratory in Needham, Massachusetts . This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented pathology professional with extensive grossing experience who is committed to delivering accurate, high-quality patient care in a CAP-accredited laboratory.

PM Work Setting:
Onsite Key Responsibilities Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens while following established departmental protocols and quality standards. Accurately gross a wide variety of specimen types, including: Gastrointestinal (GI) biopsies Prostate biopsies Breast core biopsies Skin excisions and shave biopsies Gynecologic (GYN) specimens Products of conception (POC) Other routine and complex small biopsy specimens Ensure all specimen handling, documentation, and processing meet CAP accreditation standards. Maintain accuracy and efficiency while working in a high-volume anatomical pathology laboratory. Collaborate closely with pathologists and laboratory staff to support timely and accurate diagnoses. Adhere to all laboratory safety, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications ASCP Certified Pathologists' Assistant required. 3-5 years of experience working in a CAP-accredited laboratory. Candidates with Histotechnologist (HTL) ASCP certification and 3-5 years of grossing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory will also be considered. Strong knowledge of surgical pathology grossing techniques and specimen handling. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Epic Beaker laboratory information system. Familiarity with Dragon Voice Recognition software. Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
