Medical Assisting Full Job Description About Us:
Northeast Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology has 7 medical offices in Massachusetts. We work together as a team to care for patients of all ages from infancy to older adults with a wide variety of allergy, asthma, immunology related medical conditions. We are currently looking to fill a full-time position in our Stoneham office location.
Duties:
  • Assist with patient care, including rooming patients, taking vital signs, collecting basic history, and performing various forms of allergy testing. Experience with allergy testing welcome but not required.
  • Utilize electronic medical record systems to document patient information accurately and maintaining confidentiality (eClinical Works).
  • Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling appointments, handling insurance related tasks, answering phone calls, and assisting with prior authorizations.
  • Educate patients on proper medication usage, allergen avoidance, and other healthcare instructions advised by the provider.
Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
  • Flexibility to work in fast-paced environment with multiple medical providers.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
  • Competence in performing vital signs measurements and basic medical procedures.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems to maintain accurate patient records.
  • Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to handle administrative tasks effectively.
  • Highly motivated individual and able to fill time with appropriate tasks.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Pay:
$18.00
  • $24.
00 per hour
