This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships with patients while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where quality of care always comes first. Our Medical Assistants work closely with physicians to deliver highly personalized care to a smaller patient panel than is typical in traditional primary care, allowing us to focus on providing an exceptional patient experience.

Wellesley, MA Position Summary The Medical Assistant is an integral member of the clinical team and plays a critical role in ensuring each patient visit is thoroughly prepared, efficient, and personalized. Working closely with the physician, the Medical Assistant proactively reviews upcoming appointments, prepares patient charts, identifies outstanding clinical needs, and collaborates with the provider to ensure they have the information necessary to deliver exceptional care. This position requires excellent clinical judgment, strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate physician and patient needs in a concierge medicine environment. Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Preparing patients for their appointments by obtaining vital signs, medical histories, medication reconciliation, and documenting pertinent information in the electronic medical record. Performing comprehensive chart preparation prior to each patient visit by reviewing previous office visits, specialist consultations, hospitalizations, emergency department visits, laboratory and imaging results, preventive care recommendations, outstanding orders, and other clinically relevant information. Collaborating with physicians before and throughout the clinic day to ensure each patient's visit is fully prepared and any outstanding clinical issues have been identified in advance. Anticipating physician needs by organizing information, preparing orders, gathering outside medical records, and ensuring all relevant documentation is readily available before the patient arrives. Performing phlebotomy, administering injections and immunizations, obtaining EKGs, collecting laboratory specimens, and assisting with clinical procedures as needed. Assisting physicians during examinations and procedures while maintaining a professional, efficient, and reassuring patient experience. Reviewing laboratory and diagnostic results with the physician, facilitating appropriate follow-up, and communicating results and recommendations to patients when appropriate. Managing prescription refill requests, patient portal messages, telephone calls, prior authorizations, and other clinical communications in collaboration with the physician. Coordinating referrals, diagnostic testing, specialist appointments, and obtaining outside medical records. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation in Epic while adhering to HIPAA, OSHA, and practice policies. Preparing and maintaining examination rooms, stocking clinical supplies, monitoring inventory, and ensuring work areas remain clean, organized, and ready for patient care. Delivering concierge-level service by building meaningful relationships with patients and providing compassionate, personalized care with every interaction. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have: Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice. Strong phlebotomy and clinical skills. Experience with electronic medical records (Epic experience preferred). Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. The ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist wherever needed. The ability to work independently while also thriving as part of a collaborative clinical team.
