Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Assistant and Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks and patient follow-ups. This role requires general knowledge of medical terminology and patient care. Responsibilities Greet patients upon arrival and assist with check-in procedures. Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of time slots. Maintain accurate patient records and manage electronic health systems. Collect patient information, including medical history. Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls as necessary. Assist healthcare providers with administrative tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain patient confidentiality. Handle billing inquiries and process payments when applicable. Support the clinical team by coordinating patient flow within the office. Requirements Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role is preferred. Familiarity with basic life support (BLS) principles and medication administration is advantageous. Strong understanding of physiology and medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor towards patients. Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is preferred.
