Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Dermatology Medical Assistant, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support in dermatology clinics, assisting physicians and patients with a variety of clinical and administrative tasks. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive patient experience, ensuring smooth clinic workflows and accurate medical documentation. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills within a specialized medical environment dedicated to skin health and overall well-being. Duties Prepare examination rooms, ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for patient visits. Assist dermatologists with patient intake, including recording medical history, and skin assessments. Assist with clinical procedures such as skin biopsies, surgeries, or medication administration. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), accurately documenting patient encounters, treatments, and medical notes. Support patient education by explaining procedures, post-treatment care, and medication instructions clearly and compassionately. Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-up visits, and manage patient flow efficiently within the clinic setting. Will be cross trained to be able to fill in the medical receptionist functions. Skills Extensive knowledge of dermatology practices and common dermatological conditions. Proven experience in medical office management, including EMR/EHR systems and medical documentation standards. Strong understanding of medical terminology, ICD coding, pharmacology related to dermatology treatments, and medication administration. Skilled in patient service with excellent communication skills to foster trust and comfort during clinical interactions. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as intake procedures and emergency response when necessary. Pay:
$18.00 - $30.27 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
