The Medical Assistant will perform direct and indirect patient care as assigned by our licensed Clinician staff. This opportunity is available as a "Float" position in the area of Gaithersburg, MD. Locations include 2 days in Gaithersburg, 2 days in Silver Spring and 1 day in Waldorf, each week. (Occasional coverage will be needed at the Grambrillis location) Some Benefits Include
  • Hourly pay of $24
  • $25 per hour Additional Compensation
  • Travel Stipend $$ for mileage PTO/Sick Leave Health Benefits Package Work with a professional team of skilled Clinicians. Some responsibilities include
  • Provide assistance to Clinicians, assist in the monitoring of patient reactions to treatment, and communicate adverse reactions immediately to the appropriate person.
Maintain patient documentation, notes and follow up. Cross train to assist Clinicians as a PT Tech Maintain appropriate supply inventory levels on a daily basis, inspect, sterilize, and maintain/clean physical therapy equipment and in accordance with clinics standards. Answer phones, verify patient information and insurances, take payments, conduct patient follow up, and handle other front desk duties as needed. Participate in any other designated projects or roles as directed by the Clinician staff. Some Medical Assistant Requirements
  • High School or higher level of education Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish is needed! CPR certified preferred A minimum of 2 years of experience working in General Orthopedics is preferred. Be available to work Monday
  • Friday 7:30/8 AM
  • 4/4:30 PM, each week.
Have strong written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills. 2 Years of Medical Assistant experience is required and you must be able to thrive in a very busy clinic environment. Need to own a vehicle for transportation to and from the clinic location. Must own a personal vehicle to get to and from the clinic locations.
