Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Admin in our med spa for a part time position with opportunity to expand to full-time. The position requires working in two office- one day in Laurel and one day in Gaithersburg. This role offers an opportunity to support clinical staff in aesthetic medspa practice. The ideal candidate will possess strong medical office management skills, familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service. This position is integral to ensuring smooth clinic operations and accurate medical documentation, supporting both patient care and administrative efficiency. Duties Manage patient intake processes, including collecting vital signs and updating medical records Schedule appointments and coordinate patient flow within the clinic or hospital setting Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accuracy and confidentiality Assist with medical documentation, including ICD coding, medical terminology entry, and chart management Support clinical staff with basic procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs collection Facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers through phone calls, messaging, and in-person interactions Prepare and organize medical records for billing, insurance claims, or transfer purposes Assist with hospital or clinic-specific protocols related to patient service and documentation compliance Support emergency medicine or inpatient teams as needed, including knowledge of physiology and trauma center procedures Requirements Able to work one day in Laurel office and one day in Gaithersburg office. Proven experience in medical office support within dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or similar settings Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or Meditech Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Prior experience in medical assisting or healthcare administration is highly desirable Knowledge of medication administration procedures and medical records management is advantageous
