Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented, and reliable Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will play a crucial role in providing excellent patient care, performing clinical and administrative duties, and supporting our healthcare professionals in delivering high-quality services. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, great interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. ________________________________________
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Duties:
Take and record patient vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, weight, pulse, respiratory rate). Prepare patients for examinations, ensuring comfort and safety. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and minor procedures. Administer injections, immunizations, and prescribed medications as directed. Perform routine lab tests (e.g., urine analysis, blood draws) and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis. Sterilize and maintain medical equipment. Educate patients on healthcare needs, treatments, and prescribed medications. Assist with patient follow-up and care coordination as needed. Ensure proper documentation of patient information in electronic health records (EHR).
Administrative Duties:
Schedule patient appointments, ensuring optimal patient flow. Answer patient inquiries and provide guidance on treatment procedures or medication instructions. Verify and update patient insurance information. Process patient billing and ensure accurate coding for insurance claims. Maintain patient files and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (HIPAA). Manage office supplies, including inventory and reordering as necessary. Collaborate with other medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth operations. ________________________________________
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program is preferred.
Certification:
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting is preferred.
