Windsor Mill, MD Job Details Full-time $18 - $20 an hour 15 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Customer communication Certified Phlebotomy Technician Vital signs Interpersonal skills Clinic experience Medical scheduling High school diploma or GED Full Job Description Medical Assistant/Receptionist (Full Time) Non-Exempt, Reports to Physician Metro XtraCare PC is a primary and urgent care clinic providing quality healthcare to patients in Windsor Mill, Maryland. We are hiring an individual for the following role: Medical Assistant/Receptionist (Full Time) . The Medical Assistant/Receptionist will perform administrative and clinical duties in support of patient care in a fast-paced environment. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm and Saturday from 9:00am to 3:00pm. Administrative duties may include but are not limited to the following: Greeting and checking in/registering patients Answering telephones Responding to emails and faxes Scheduling appointments Responding to medical record requests Assist with completing paperwork for matters related to workers' compensation Performing other administrative functions as delegated and supervised by the physician Ability to uphold HIPAA compliance Clinical duties may include but are not limited to the following: Drawing blood (phlebotomy certification required) Conducting electrocardiogram tests Recording vital signs and entering into patients' charts Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens Assist with procedures and gynecological exams Performing other clinical functions as delegated and supervised by the physician Perform treatment room maintenance after each patient to include: Disposing of medical waste as required by OSHA Changing table paper and pillow cases Providing clean gowns for patients Placing used gowns in appropriate containers for laundering Conducting light cleaning of patient bathrooms, waiting room, and other spaces as needed Minimum of 6 months of experience in a clinical setting Minimum of 6 months of experience in a customer, patient, or client-facing role Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to lift up to 40 pounds High school diploma or GED Ability to work alternating Saturdays Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Ability to uphold patients' privacy Please apply here or email your resume and cover letter to . 2-3 Professional references will be required at later stages of the hiring process.
