This dual-role position supports both clinical and front desk operations to ensure smooth patient flow and high-quality care. You will assist with preparing exam rooms, supporting providers during patient visits, coordinating lab work and prescriptions, and keeping patients informed about their care. On the administrative side, you will be responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and managing communications through our electronic medical records (EMR) system. The ideal candidate has strong customer service skills, attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced medical office environment. Responsibilities Greet patients, check them in and out, and verify insurance and demographic information Answer and route phone calls, handle appointment scheduling, and assist with patient inquiries Support providers with basic clinical tasks and procedures during patient visits Prepare exam rooms, set up medical equipment, and ensure rooms are cleaned and restocked Track lab orders and results, call in prescriptions, and ensure timely follow-up with patients Use EMR to document visits, scan and manage records, and handle provider communications Assist with general office tasks such as faxing, processing referrals, and handling incoming messages Help manage inventory of medical and office supplies Support billing, prior authorizations, and other administrative workflows as needed Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operation of the practice Qualifications BLS Certification or Certified Medical Assistant desired Excellent customer service skills Strong attention to detail
