Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Administrative Assistant, where your organizational skills and healthcare knowledge will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient experiences. In this energetic role, you will be the backbone of daily clinic operations, ensuring smooth scheduling, accurate data management, and effective communication between patients, providers, and insurance companies. Your proactive approach will help streamline administrative processes and support the delivery of quality healthcare services. Duties Assist Front Desk Receptionist with appointment scheduling using electronic health records (EHR) systems and coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times. Handle incoming calls with professionalism, providing clear information and directing inquiries appropriately. Enter and update patient data accurately within EHR systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy regulations. Assist with insurance verification. Communicate effectively with patients, pharmacies and other providers regarding patient medications, test results, or updates/communication to and from their pcp . Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient questions, conveying messages to patient from the provider, and fostering a welcoming environment. Skills Experience in medical office/clinic setting with medical terminology, filing, faxing and scanning a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for documentation, scheduling, and communication tasks. Excellent internal communication skills to coordinate effectively with medical staff, pharmacies, other providers, hospital lab. Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail; proficient in electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Exceptional customer service abilities combined with professional phone communication skills to assist patients confidently. Pay:
$19.50 - $20.00 per hour
