Job Description

Category Laboratory - Pathology Assistant Job Type Contract Contribute your expertise as a Laboratory Pathology Assistant in a dynamic healthcare environment. This is an 8-week contract opportunity, ideal for professionals skilled in pathology support and dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:30 pm
Qualifications:
Completion of a NAACLS-accredited Pathologist's Assistant program or PA (ASCP) Certification required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Experience as a Pathologist Assistant; strong working knowledge of laboratory and pathology processes Excellent communication skills for collaborating effectively with colleagues, physicians, and other staff throughout the facility Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
Perform life-support, resuscitation, patient monitoring, and therapy with various medical gases in accordance with clinical guidelines Conduct invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures on patients within the Intensive Care and General Practice Units Apply clinical expertise in different departmental assignments as needed Deliver clear and accurate documentation of all aspects of patient care Supervise, guide, and delegate tasks to Respiratory Therapists, orientation staff, externs, and students as required Provide timely and precise data for patient billing This contract opportunity offers valuable experience in a leading healthcare setting and the chance to collaborate with highly skilled clinicians.
