Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and assist with patient intake processes including vital signs measurement and medical history collection Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and ensure all clinical supplies are stocked and organized for daily use Assist healthcare providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments in specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, or urgent care settings Perform phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic diagnostic tests as directed by physicians Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), document medical histories, update patient charts, and ensure accuracy in medical records and coding (including ICD coding) Support hospital medicine or inpatient care teams by assisting with patient transfers, vital sign monitoring, and documentation in inpatient environments Maintain compliance with safety protocols such as Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications and adhere to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality Experience Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in a fast-paced clinical environment such as dermatology clinics, urgent care centers, or hospital medicine units Familiarity with Electronic Health Records (EHR/EHR systems) and Medical Office Management software Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards Hands-on experience with phlebotomy, medication administration, vital signs collection, and medical documentation procedures Prior inpatient or hospital experience is highly desirable, especially within internal medicine or geriatrics settings Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications in phlebotomy or medical assisting are preferred Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team in diverse clinical environments Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact patient well-being.
