In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and ensure smooth administrative workflows within a fast-paced medical environment. Your expertise in various medical specialties, including dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, and hospital medicine, will be essential to delivering high-quality healthcare services. The ideal candidate is proactive, compassionate, and highly organized, ready to contribute to patient well-being and clinic efficiency. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments in cardiology. Take and record vital signs accurately, including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems) by documenting patient histories, medical notes, medication lists, and treatment plans with precision. Support medical administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient intake processes. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining confidentiality of patient records and documentation. Assist with medication administration under physician supervision and monitor patient responses during treatments. Perform basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary and respond promptly to emergency situations within the clinic setting. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards. Experience Cardiology experience preferred but not a necessity. Demonstrated proficiency in medical office management software and Electronic Health Record (EHR/EHR systems) platforms such as EMR/EHR systems management tools. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), pharmacology principles, and medical documentation standards. Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients. Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments such as urgent care clinics or hospital settings while maintaining attention to detail. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications related to medical assisting or specialized areas like dermatology or geriatrics are preferred. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
