Clinical / Administrative Medical Assistant Private Internal Medicine Practice | Full-Time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Our busy Internal Medicine practice is looking for a reliable, organized, detail-oriented Clinical/Administrative Medical Assistant to join our team! This is a hybrid clinical and administrative position that requires someone who is comfortable working independently, collaborating with a team, and jumping in wherever needed. The ideal candidate has strong chart preparation and administrative experience , solid clinical knowledge, excellent follow-through, and a patient-focused approach.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Chart Preparation — A Major Focus of This Position Prepare patient charts prior to appointments Pull and review medical records Contact patients by phone to prepare them for upcoming appointments Complete pre-visit screening and gather necessary information Send orders and follow up on outstanding items Identify missing labs, imaging, records, and other information needed by providers Quality Measures & Patient Outreach Contact patients regarding outstanding screenings, tests, labs, and preventive care Determine whether patients have completed recommended testing Request outside records when testing has been completed elsewhere Send orders for outstanding testing or screenings Document patient outreach and follow-up appropriately Track outstanding quality measures and ensure appropriate follow-through Clinical & Administrative Floating Float between front-office and clinical responsibilities Assist with check-out and administrative duties Assist with medication refills and orders Answer patient calls and assist with triage Obtain vital signs Perform lab draws and injections when applicable Assist with EKGs and other clinical duties Provide support to providers and staff wherever needed

REQUIRED / PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Required:
At least 2 years of recent medical office experience Strong administrative and organizational skills Clinical knowledge and understanding of medical office workflows
Preferred:
EMR experience AthenaOne experience Chart preparation experience Quality measure tracking Patient outreach Patient triage Referrals and prior authorizations Insurance verification Medication refills and orders Vital signs Phlebotomy EKGs Injections Medical records/documentation Phlebotomy is a bonus, but it is NOT a primary requirement. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong medical background and the ability to learn.
