Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a full-time, dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join our concierge medical and aesthetics practice. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Medical Assistant or a recent graduate interested in pursuing a career in nursing, physician assistant studies, or medical school . Our practice combines comprehensive medical care with advanced aesthetic medicine, giving our team members the opportunity to gain experience in both traditional clinical medicine and the rapidly growing field of medical aesthetics. The Medical Assistant will work closely with Dr. Ronan , assisting with patient care, medical procedures, and aesthetic treatments. Dr. Ronan is also faculty at Michigan State University , where medical students rotate through the practice, providing an exceptional environment for individuals interested in pursuing a career in medicine. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, detail-oriented, eager to learn, and genuinely interested in developing their clinical skills.
Responsibilities:
Clinical Medical Assisting Assist physician during patient examinations and procedures. Prepare patients for medical appointments, including taking vital signs, reviewing medical history, and updating electronic health records. Administer medications and injections as directed by the physician. Perform laboratory tests, such as blood draws and urinalysis, and prepare specimens for processing. Perform routine diagnostic procedures, such as EKGs and spirometry tests. Provide patient education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and preventive healthcare. Coordinate patient referrals to specialists and diagnostic facilities as needed. Maintain clean, organization examination rooms and medical equipment. Assist with inventory management and ordering of medical supplies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record. Follow HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient care delivery. Medical Spa & Aesthetic Medicine Assist the physician and aesthetic team with medical spa procedures and aesthetic treatments . Prepare patients and treatment rooms for aesthetic procedures. Assist with procedures involving advanced aesthetic technologies and treatments. Provide pre- and post-procedure patient care and instructions. Maintain appropriate documentation and treatment records. Learn about the latest technologies, products, and techniques in aesthetic medicine. Support a professional, welcoming, and patient-centered experience throughout the treatment process. Previous medical office or outpatient clinical experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records preferred. CPR certification preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
