Job Description

Job Summary West Michigan Foot and Ankle is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team. We currently have openings for a Podiatry Assistant and a scheduling coordinator. We are in the process of expansion and are looking to add staff to our Manistee location with the potential for opportunity at our Ludington office as well. All training will begin at our Ludington office. Additionally, there is opportunity to cross-train in the chiropractic field. We are looking for someone with an outgoing personality who communicates well with others, is organized, able to multi-task, and is interested in a long term position. Scheduling Coordinator:
Answering phones Scheduling appointments and surgeries Coordinating appointments for alternative therapies including, but not limited to, laser treatments and shockwave treatments Managing patient intake forms, accepting payments, and collecting insurance information. For the
Podiatry Assistant:
Interview patients and document basic medical history Update medical records Check in patients and update patients charts Assist during medical examinations and in clinic procedures Assist with basic podiatry services including, but not limited to foot scans and radiographs, gait analysis, procedures, wound and foot care, MLS laser therapy treatments Prepare and clean treatment rooms and sterilize medical instruments Skills Preferred working experience as a medical assistant, however on the job training is available Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work Social perceptiveness and service oriented Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning skills This position is fast-paced, with constant room for growth and consistent team building opportunities. Prefer previous work experience in medical field or front desk. Must have knowledge of computers, EHR, insurances, and excellent phone/typing skills.
Pay:
$14.00 - $18.00 per hour
