 2 x 12 hours shift and 1 x 8 hours shift Mon 8am-8pmThurs 8am-8pmFri 8am-5pmOne Sat a month 8 am - 12 pm

GENERAL SUMMARY:

As a Medical Assistant in our Walk-in Clinic, you'll be the vital link between our patients and clinical team. Working under the direction of our providers and nursing leadership, you'll deliver compassionate, high-quality care by performing a dynamic mix of administrative and clinical responsibilities. You'll make a real difference every day by creating welcoming patient experiences and supporting our clinical team in delivering excellent care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Welcome patients and guide them through their clinic experience with warmth and professionalismObtain comprehensive medical histories and engage patients in meaningful conversations about their health concernsMeasure, record, and communicate vital signs accurately to support clinical decision-makingPrepare patients for examinations and procedures with clear communication and compassionate supportCollaborate with providers during patient examinations and procedures, anticipating needs and ensuring smooth workflowsMaintain accurate and timely documentation in our Electronic Medical Record systemSupport the clinical team in delivering efficient, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting Qualifications

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented professional ready to make an immediate impact in a fast-paced clinical environment. Here's what will set you up for success:

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

You bring one of the following qualifications: Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160 hours minimum), ORGraduate from a Medical Assistant program with a minimum of one year of hands-on clinical medical assisting experience within the past five years, ORCurrent Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with at least one year of clinical medical assisting experience, ORLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN), ORLicensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one year of clinical experience in a medical setting within the past five years, ORMilitary-trained medical personnel with at least one year of clinical experience in a medical setting within the past five years

To thrive in this role, you'll demonstrate: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that build trust with patients and colleaguesStrong problem-solving abilities and clinical judgmentProficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems—EPIC experience is a plusSolid computer skills and keyboarding abilityAbility to perform a diverse range of clinical skills in an ambulatory care settingHigh school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent 

CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES

Current BLS-C certification required upon hire, or successful completion by the end of your orientation period.
