Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and preparing patients for examinations. Perform basic medical procedures including phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and specimen collection in accordance with safety protocols. Manage incoming calls, respond to patient inquiries, and coordinate appointment follow-ups efficiently. Maintain accurate medical documentation, including ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases) for billing and record-keeping purposes. Support administrative functions such as managing medical records, processing insurance information, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Assist with inpatient or outpatient procedures when necessary, including OR (Operating Room) support or hospital experience tasks. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clinical environment while adhering to infection control standards. Skills Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare settings with a focus on dermatology, internal medicine, urgent care, or hospital medicine. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding to accurately document patient encounters. Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and EMR/EHR management tools for seamless data entry and retrieval. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and empathetically across diverse populations, including geriatrics and internal medicine patients. Basic life support (BLS) certification is preferred to ensure readiness for emergencies; additional certifications like phlebotomy or medication administration are a plus. Ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations while maintaining attention to detail in medical documentation and records management.
