Job Description

Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist healthcare professionals in providing quality care to patients. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within the medical practice.
Duties:
Measuring and recording vital signs. Recording patient interview, history and chief complaint. Providing patient education with regards to office policies, medications, Management of diseases, home treatments and special diets. Preparing patients for examinations and performing routine screening tests. Assisting the physician with exams and minor office surgery. Phlebotomy and collection of other lab specimens. Performing EKGs. Preparing and administering medications with physician's authorizations. Change dressings, applying bandages, removing sutures and other first aid procedures. CPR certified Maintaining supplies, equipment, stocking, and sterilizing instruments. Disposing of bio-hazard waste according to OSHA standards. Practicing OSHA safety standards. Performing accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred. Prior experience in a medical setting preferred Proficiency in basic medical procedures and terminology. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Positive work environment that values teamwork and collaboration.
