RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs general office duties including faxing, copying, scanning and filing.
  • Answers and directs phone calls.
  • Communicates with customers and staff to answer questions.
  • Schedules and coordinates meetings, interviews and appointments.
  • Troubleshoots problems that arise with office equipment.
  • Maintains and orders office supplies.
  • Responsible for timekeeping functions of the department.
  • Creates, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and other documents.
  • Responsible for creating internal reports from various data collection methods.
  • Schedules patient appointments and procedures according to established policies and procedures.
  • Obtains accurate information from patients and ensure all registration forms are complete.
  • Collects patient and insurance payments and reconciles charges on a daily basis.
  • Processes insurance and disability claims in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Performs data entry of office visits, consults, and surgery including ICD-10 and CPT coding.
  • Performs other related duties as required and directed.
REQUIRED
  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum four years of clerical experience
