Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments. Take and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately. Prepare patients for examinations by taking medical histories and explaining procedures clearly. Perform phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) as needed to support patient care. Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of medical histories. Support medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining medical records in compliance with privacy regulations. Assist with intake processes, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and ensure proper medical documentation Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols. Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, administrative staff, and patients to deliver exceptional patient service. Skills Strong knowledge of dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, hospital medicine, urgent care practices, and physiology fundamentals. Proven experience with medical office management systems such as EMR/EHR platforms; familiarity with electronic health records management is essential. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations. Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, pharmacology basics, ICD coding, and medical documentation standards. Hands-on experience with phlebotomy techniques and medication administration; certification in basic life support (BLS) is required. Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately while maintaining patient comfort and trust.
