Role:
Cardiovascular Associates PC is looking for a part time Cardiology Medical Assistant to join our team in Southfield, MI. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced cardiologists in a patient-focused environment where your skills truly make a difference in people's lives. We pride ourselves in providing the highest quality patient care, but more importantly - we strive to treat our patients with kindness and respect. Our staff and our patients generally have a long history within this office. We offer schedule flexibility with no evenings, weekends or call .
Responsibilities:
Assist cardiologists and clinical staff with patient examinations and cardiology procedures Perform EKGs and vital sign assessments for cardiac patients Prepare and room patients, documenting medical histories and chief complaints accurately Manage and maintain patient records using Athena, our electronic health record (EHR) system Coordinate referrals, prior authorizations, and follow-up appointments Educate patients on cardiac medications, post-procedure care, and lifestyle recommendations Maintain exam rooms, medical supplies, and cardiology equipment to ensure readiness
Requirements:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA) credential preferred Prior experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or a specialty clinical setting preferred Proficiency in performing EKGs Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-volume specialty practice Knowledge of cardiology terminology, medications, and procedures is a plus
