In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience. Your responsibilities will include managing patient appointments, maintaining accurate medical records, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems, and committed to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to quality patient care while supporting the administrative functions of our medical practice. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures using EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks Schedule patient appointments efficiently while managing clinic calendars and coordinating follow-up visits Review and update patient medical records accurately, ensuring proper documentation review Read and extrapolate large volumes of data Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately and handle patient inquiries promptly Manage electronic health records (EHR) management including filing, documentation review, and maintaining clinical confidentiality policies Assist with medical administrative support tasks such as data entry, typing (including 10 key typing), filing, and maintaining organized medical records Coordinating medical scheduling, preparing patient charts, and facilitating communication between provider and patients Take and record patient vital signs, urinalysis and other lab testing Experience Prior clinic experience or medical office experience is highly preferred Phlebotomy and lab experience Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks is essential Excellent computer skills with familiarity in Microsoft Office applications and office management software Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA guidelines Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and filing processesJoin our team where your dedication to excellent patient service makes a real difference!
